We are always interested in discovering artists whose work demonstrates technical skill, individuality, and a strong commitment to their craft. Our goal is to build a thoughtful roster with a range of styles, approaches, and areas of expertise while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.
Because we review each artist carefully, we are not able to provide individual portfolio critiques by phone or email. Selected submissions will be reviewed internally, and artists who appear to be a strong fit for Sense & Machine will be contacted for a conversation.

For portrait artists, we also encourage you to include reference photographs alongside finished work when possible so we can better understand your approach to likeness, interpretation, and finish.
We are especially interested in artists who demonstrate strong draftsmanship, consistency, professionalism, and the ability to work successfully within a commissioned environment.
Beyond technical ability, we look for artists with a distinct point of view and a collaborative approach to working with clients, institutions, and creative direction.
Sense & Machine helps artists spend more time focused on their work while we support the business around it, including marketing, client acquisition, project coordination, communication, and commission management.
Representation terms may vary depending on the artist and the nature of the relationship. If there appears to be a strong fit, we will discuss structure, commission terms, and expectations directly.
